There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. -1 John 4:18
Last week, the 2or3 team spent a special night with the Denton Wesley Foundation. This United Methodist Student Center is serving the University of North Texas, Texas Woman’s University, and North Central Texas College. As a loving and liberating community, the Denton Wesley Foundation believes in the power of love and service through Christ to transform the world.
Multiple youth groups joined the worship night, including Argyle United Methodist Church, Faith United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church (Denton and Frisco), and Pilot Point United Methodist Church. College students who are bravely following Christ shared powerful words, stories, and experiences with the youth groups. Together, we spent time in worship and learned about living unafraid – unafraid of letting God impact our lives and change us, of sharing our faith, of standing for our beliefs, of being vulnerable, and of one another.
To support the Denton Wesley Foundation and its wonderful “Unafraid” Youth Worship Night, the 2or3 team provided pizza, snacks, and drinks for all the youth group members and volunteers at the event.
We look forward to continually supporting local ministries. We are always looking for opportunities to serve. If your ministry has an event coming up or if there is anything we can help with, please let us know!
